ISRAEL STRIKES THE PALESTINIANS IN GAZA
The Foreshadow of what’s to come for 2009
Israel Lunches fourth day of attack on Gaza while the Israeli troops move towards the Gaza strip.

After almost a full week of air strikes and many civil and militia casualties in behalf of the Palestinians, Israel still haven’t decided to cease fire upon the Gaza strip although the UN secretary general has called an immediate halt to operations. The Israeli army has stated that there have been about 30 soldiers wounded. Mean while Palestinian medical officials claim that Israeli troops have killed 8 soldiers and also many civilians.
Israel’s military spokesman Maj Avital Leibovitch said recently that the objective of this bombardment is "to destroy the Hamas terror infrastructure in the area of operations". He also admitted that this operation would be “limited” and that the war won’t take long, although the intensity of the attack is devastating for the Palestinian community. Israeli’s have been bombarding with some very heavy artillery and now troops are entering the north of the Gaza with about 10,000 troops and hundreds of tanks.
Palestinians have attacked the south of Israel for a long time from Gaza and this is the way of “no more” from behalf of Israel. "Our aim is to force Hamas to stop its hostile activities against Israel and Israelis from Gaza and to bring about a significant change in the situation in the southern part of Israel" said Israel’s Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
Now looking back in history, Israel has fight many wars like for example the Arab-Israeli war in 1948 between Israel and many other Arabic countries such as Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, wars that still have their impact in the present and are in-fact the main reason why Israel attacked Gaza last week. Also this conflict started after the UN designated that territory to the Jews after the II world war and kicked out all the land now known as Israel. This conflict is also explained by religious experts as “god promised the land to the Palestinians, but also the Jews”

Now my question is, why after decades of endless wars between the Arabic-Islamic
And Israel and the thousands of deaths it comes with, why does the UN doesn’t do anything about it? Are they that corrupted? For many a really long time, this conflict has been on and the UN doesn’t even punish Israel’s leader. It’s like the UN was on Israel’s side. Remember back in 2006 when Israel attacked Lebanon and destroyed nearly every town and killed many civilians, well apparently everyone forgot about it, the UN didn’t punish Israel and the media was responsible of making people forget about it by never mentioning it again. Well I am here as a journalist denouncing this issue and declaring that for most people the UN is not a respected organization and that it’s corrupted from its principals by the world’s leaders.
Is this the right way to start a new year? 2009 starts off with a huge economic recession and a war that so far leaves more than 500 deaths in both sides of the conflict. Is it just me who thinks that poor baby New Year is having some trouble for its first days. As far as this year goes it looks that it is going to get much worst.
